Inside Trio Berlin: Traditional German Food meets Modern Aesthetics

As an analog photographer focused on restaurant interiors and food culture, I documented the unique atmosphere of Trio in Berlin-Mitte. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the incredible vibe of the space. The restaurant has a beautifully curated, welcoming atmosphere, made even better by the staff who were incredibly attentive, welcoming, and friendly. An absolute 10/10 experience!

Known for its timeless blend of traditional German cuisine and minimalist design, the space demands a visual approach that honors both its heritage and its modern vibe. To capture this energy, I shot this series on 35mm film using Kodak Gold 200 paired with a direct flash.

This technical choice allowed me to naturally highlight the rich wood textures of the classic chairs and the crisp linen, while giving the signature dishes, like the famous Wiener Schnitzel, a vibrant, nostalgic, and high-contrast look.
